Dining & Lounge

The heart of each camp. The dining & lounge tents are built to accommodate up to 50 seated guests or as few as 6 and still remain an intimate setting for eating and socializing. Custom built Oak dining tables can be arranged to suit the number of guests dining in camp. The tents have sides that are removable for the view and configured to provide protection from weather as well as shade from the sun. We have propane heaters in the tents when needed. The dining and lounge tents are outfitted with propane lanterns and solar lighting. In the lounge tent a Cypress top bar complete with all types of drink glasses and barware, comfortable furniture, and a fireplace. In the dining tent we have a dance floor. Outside the dining & lounge tents is the campfire area. It can have up to 3 fire pits, plenty of chairs, side tables, and lanterns for area lighting.
H2R camps have a fully staffed and professionally equipped stand alone kitchen. H2R chefs and staff are passionate about cooking outdoors and its obviously reflected in the taste of the food and the friendly genuine service. All of our kitchen equipment from the wood and gas fired grills to the prep tables and dishwashing stations were built for an expedition camp. The menu typically is upscale camp food made with simple high quality ingredients that are mostly locally sourced. The dishes reflect regional influences of where the camp is set at the time and over the years we've accumulated some great local recipes that we recommend when designing a menu. The level of food service is chosen by you and can range from a buffet, to family style, to a full service multi course meal. Table settings are another area which can be customized. Guests can choose to have their meals served on china, with a full set of silverware on linens, complete with glassware for beverages or on paper plates and napkins as well as anything in between.
